Rumors from a couple weeks back were confirmed today, as the German boss has finally been unveiled as Unai Emery's successor.

Unai Emery's term as PSG boss has come to an end, and while his stint with Les Parisiens was successful in the domestic competitions, he wasn't able to lead the team to a UEFA Champions League final.

With that in mind, the French champions have decided to appoint Thomas Tuchel as their new coach. The German boss was one of the most sought-after coaches in Europe, with his attacking style being his calling card.

Here's PSG's announcement on Twitter.

But even before he was announced as PSG's new coach, Tuchel had special interest in getting to know Neymar, and judging by how things went, the meeting may change the entire landscape of the transfer window.

The meeting between the former Borussia Dortmund manager and the Brazilian ace went down swimmingly, as each man shared their goals and vision on how the next season should be planned, according to a report by German outlet Suddeutsche Zeitung.

According to that report, Neymar committed himself to working with Tuchel to make PSG a marquee name in Europe, and ruled out any possibility of pushing for a transfer in the next few months.

The same report suggests that Tuchel admitted to being "eager" to work with the Brazilian, who he referred to as "the most talented player he's ever had".

Neymar has already returned to the team's training sessions with nothing but the FIFA World Cup on his mind, while Tuchel will reportedly head to Belgium for an "intensive" French language course.
