Classy act by the Reds!

Liverpool were defeated 4-2 by AS Roma at the Stadio Olimpico but advanced to the final via a 7-6 aggregate scoreline. The jubilant English side as a result set up a blockbuster final in Kiev with Real Madrid who progressed yesterday at the expense of Bayern Munich.

In their jolly mood, Jurgen Klopp’s men held up a banner to pay tribute to Sean Cox, the fan who is currently battling for his life after sustaining multiple head injuries in the buildup to the first-leg encounter at Anfield. The banner was initially hanged at the away end of the Olimpico but the players borrowed it at full-time to show their support for the Liverpool fan.

According to the BBC, doctors at the Walton Neurological Centre where Mr. Cox is admitted are currently trying to revive him from the medically induced coma.
