Harry Kane was on target as Tottenham downed Watford in Monday night’s EPL action.

Tottenham’s Hotspur’s objective of gaining an automatic Champions League qualification spot is well underway after securing all three points against Watford. Goals from Dele Alli and Harry Kane were enough to take the Londoners’ total points for the season to 71 – one less than third-placed Liverpool.

Kane, who took his goals scored in the league this season to 27 insisted that he feels “good and sharp” after his night’s feat.

“I feel good,” he said after the game.

“I would like to have played better over the last few games but so would the team. I feel good and sharp, I could have a got a couple more today but I’m, good and want to finish strong.

“I try and improve every year so I want to beat 29 goals. Last year was an unbelievable end but we will see what happens.

"Hopefully, I can do the same but I want to get to that 30 mark.”

The 24 years old forward further iterated his desire to see Tottenham demote Liverpool to fourth place. The two clubs are yet to play against each other in the second round of the league and the tie has been tipped as a potential decider for the third position.

“Chelsea were creeping up but now we can look forward,” Kane added.

“We have a game on hand on Liverpool and if we can win that we jump ahead of them as well.

“Our run of form hasn’t been the best and when that happens you want to play straight away to make that right. But we have had to wait.

"We started slow but we won the game. We have three games left and we want to win them all and jump up to third.”
