The Tottenham Hotspur boss has been earmarked as the man worthy to take over the reins from Jose Mourinho.

Former Manchester United defender, Gary Neville, has voiced his admiration for Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino and believes the Argentine manager will be the right fit for the Red Devils should Jose Mourinho decide to vacate his post.

The Englishman stressed on the “terrific” job done by the former Southampton manager as he is  currently closing in on another top-four finish with Spurs in the English Premier League. To Neville, Pochettino’s ability to do well with a meager transfer budget and also groom young talents aligns with the very core traits of Manchester United.

“Pochettino is doing a terrific job,” Neville declared on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football show.

“You give a manager money, and he will win the league more times than not.

“They’re (Spurs) up against it from the start. They’re outperforming and overachieving season after season and Pochettino is keeping the wolves away from Daniel Levy’s door with the job he is doing.

“When Jose Mourinho's time at Manchester United has finished, whether that is one year, two year or three years, and I hope he [Pochettino] wins multiple league titles because I think he is a fantastic manager.

“This is the guy that I would want to manage the club I support because I think he is the guy who deserves it. I think it is the same for Paris Saint-Germain and I think it's the same for Real Madrid. And I think that Daniel Levy knows that."
