Florentino Pérez is ready to keep Real Madrid's legacy in the world of football intact. The entity's president has given the green light to his legal team to exercise legal action against all those members of the media or the general public that have a hand in defamatory campaigns against Los Blancos.
Pérez has made this decision following the scathing attacks by fans, media and some footballers regarding issues like rigged draws, help from refs and other issues.
In a report by Spanish newspaper Marca, Pérez has allegedly also green-lighted all players to defend the team's interests in any way possible. Real Madrid's footballers were not allowed to talk about these controversies, but after some scathing comments in the past few days, the president is ready to fight back.
Zidane, baffled by match-fixing claims
Speaking in today's pre-match presser, Zinedine Zidane defended his team's credentials to play in the semi-finals, while admitting that things might have been blown out of proportion by some pundits who claim that Los Blancos "robbed" Juventus.
"There's no doubt in my mind, it was a penalty. Those who speak about a robbery are just annoyed. What we are accomplishing is making people very angry, but in the past few days it was too much. Juve had a good game, but we stepped up when we needed to. Either way, what happened after Wednesday's game was too much," Zidane stated.
Zidane also spoke about the general reaction to Wednesday's game, and admitted that those comments about something corrupt in a game need to end.
"It's shameful, it really disappoints men. And it's not just about the penalty. I can't believe people talk about a 'robbery' without proof. We have to stop these accusations. Those who make accusations of the sort are way above their heads," Zidane concluded.
