Toronto will try to end the dominance exercised by Liga MX teams in this competition, which has last since 2005.

With the teams already lined up to play the CONCACAF Champions League Final, football's governing body in the region released the dates and times for the competition's ultimate showdown featuring Liga MX's Chivas and the current MLS champions, Toronto FC.

The first leg of the two-legged tie will be played on  Tuesday, April 17 at 8:15 pm ET. MLS Cup Champions Toronto FC will welcome Mexican side Guadalajara at BMO Field.

Guadalajara will have the honor of hosting the decisive game, which is scheduled to begin at 9:30 pm ET (8:30 pm local) on April 25th. Guadalajara earned the right to host the final match due to their better record after six matches in this competition. Guadalajara won four games, drew one and lost one more, compared to Toronto's 3-win, 2-draw, 1-loss record.

Toronto deprived Mexican fans from what could have been a showdown for the ages, as they beat Club América in the semi-final tie. América is the most popular side in Mexico along with Chivas, and a Mexican Clásico handing out a ticket for the 2018 Club World Cup seemed to be quite a treat. Unfortunately for Las Águilas' fans, Toronto kept their cool and defeated them with a 4-2 aggregate.

On the other hand, a single goal by Isaac Brizuela was enough for Chivas to earn their spot in the tournament's final. New York Red Bulls wasn't able to get the ball past Guadalajara's goalie, and failed to capitalize on their home-field advantage during the second leg.

The 2018 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League is broadcast in the U.S. in Spanish by Univision Deportes on UDN and its digital platforms. Broadcasting rights in Mexico and Central America were acquired by Fox Sports, while Verizon media properties own the rights in U.S. territories. For more information, including broadcast information for the final matches, please check your local TV listings.

The 2018 Concacaf Champions League winner will go on to play in the 2018 FIFA Club World Cup, scheduled to take place in the United Arab Emirates in December.
