The Catalan manager was not happy with some decisions made by Spanish referee Mateu Lahoz during the first half.

Pep Guardiola's fiery temper finally got him sent off...by a Spanish referee.

The Catalan boss was sent to the stands by referee Mateu Lahoz, as Guardiola wasn't satisfied with some of the decisions made by his compatriot.

Some of those calls included a disallowed goal due to Leroy Sane's offside and a possible penalty kick due to a handball by James Milner.

As soon as the first half ended, Guardiola stormed into the pitch to make his complaints heard by the ref, who didn't hesitate to send him off.

According to stats expert Mister Chip, Guardiola has matched the record for the most red cards for a coach in UEFA Champions League games. Only Jorge Jesus and Jorge Sampaoli have been sent off the same amount of times as Guardiola, all of them with two red cards to their name.
