The Real Madrid superstar grabbed the headlines with his breath-taking goal against the Serie A giant.

Real Madrid enjoyed an excellent 3-0 victory at Juventus to all but cement their spot in another Champions League semi-final, but that victory has been overshadowed by Cristiano’s spectacular second goal. The hottest topic in football continues to be the bicycle kick he scored past Gianluigi Buffon.

It was undoubtedly an unbelievable strike. Zidane was stunned and left holding his head; the home crowd even applauded that goal despite it killing the Bianconeri’s hopes of a comeback.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner was honored with a standing ovation from the opposition supporters. Speaking after the final whistle, the 33-year-old made sure to show his gratitude towards the Juventus faithful for their applause.

"It was one of the most poignant moments of the night. To receive applause from a stadium like this, which has been graced by great players, is a unique experience," the Portuguese superstar said, as per BBC Sport.

"When I was a kid, I liked Juventus and the fact that their fans have clapped me will stay with me."

Cristiano then made an honest admission about Tuesday’s golazo. The attacker admitted that he has longed to score an overhead kick goal for his club. He finally achieved that and now insists that it was the best goal of his amazing career so far.

Obviously, people are talking about the second goal, it was amazing, probably the best of my career," the 33-year-old said.

"It was spectacular. I jumped very high and it's a goal that will live long in the memory.

"I've been looking to do it for a while, but it depends on the circumstances of the game. It just came to me to give it a go, you always have to try it. I tried it today and it came off".

Cristiano is now in the form of his life. His brace against Allegri’s side means he now has 19 goals in his last nine games for Los Blancos.
