The Argentine ace couldn't bear to watch more of what turned out to be one of the worst defeats in La Albiceleste's history.

Argentina's road to the World Cup wasn't easy, and it seems like the months prior to the competition will not be either.

Lionel Messi wasn't able to help La Abiceleste tonight, as Spain destroyed the South Americans with a 6-1 score. This score ranks as the worst defeat in Argentina's history alongside their 6-1 loss against Bolivia in 2009 and their 1958 World Cup defeat facing Czechoslovakia.

What stood out the most were Messi's reactions inside the box where he saw the game. Visibly annoyed by its outcome, Messi left the box with more than ten minutes to be played, dismissing requests by Manuel Lanzini to stay until the match concluded.
