The Swedish ace changed his status as one of the best-paid players in the Premier League to move to California.

Contrary to what most European footballers did when they decided to join the Major League Soccer, Zlatan Ibrahimovic's decision to make the move to North America wasn't fueled by money.

According to Marca, the Swedish striker signed a $1.5 million deal with the Californian side, which represents a 95% drop from the wage he collected at Manchester United.

The Swedish National Team's top scorer earned a whopping $27M per season with the Red Devils, meaning that he will make the move to North America trying to add another title to his already impressive resume.

Each team in the MLS has the right to put three franchise tags on their players. The Galaxy had already allocated those spots to the Dos Santos brothers (Giovani and Jonathan), with the other one going to Romain Alessandrini. Only time will tell if Zlatan ends up snagging one of those spots before calling it quits.
