A tough test awaits Antonio Conte and his brigade at Camp Nou.

On Saturday, Chelsea won 2-1 at home versus Crystal Palace and the Londoners have now turned full focus to the impending blockbuster versus Barcelona on Wednesday. Despite asking almost all the question when the Catalans came to town, the Blues were held to a 1-1 draw after Lionel Messi finally broke his scoring hoodoo against the Stamford Bridge side.

The goal advantage, as a result, complicates the mission for the Londoners who have endured a topsy-turvy campaign thus far. Although their players have starred in respective roles in the club’s inconsistency, one man who has been under fire the most is the manager of the side, Antonio Conte.

According to Chelsea legend and former manager, Ruud Gullit, the Italian’s days with the Blues will come to an abrupt end should he fail to find the antidote for the threat Barcelona poses.

“Against Barca, Conte can prove he has learned from last week’s passive approach against Manchester City.

“He must show that he is capable of creating a game plan and tactics that lead to victory,” Ruud Gullit expressed according to Mirror.

“In the home game against Barca, he was unlucky his team missed a few big chances and the first and only chance Barca had was a goal.

“If he does not come up with an answer against Barca’s style of attacking, Conte will get the arrows at him from all angles.”

Ruud Gullit led Chelsea to the 1997 FA Cup – the club’s first-ever silverware in 26 years before the Dutchman took over the reins.
