The players and staff were happy after booking their quarter-final spot courtesy of a 5-2 aggregate win over the Ligue 1 giant.

On Tuesday night, Real Madrid players and staff were understandably in a joyous mood. After being written off by many and tipped for an early Champions League exit, the defending champion knocked out PSG to book their ticket to the next round.

The Spanish giant was already in a 3-1 lead thanks to their home victory in the first leg. Zidane’s men then added another triumph over the high-spending French outfit thanks to goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Casemiro at the Parc des Princes.

The following day, Los Blancos posted videos on Instagram of their dressing-room celebrations shortly after the final whistle. Cristiano, who broke the deadlock with a towering head, can be seen giving out high fives to almost everyone.

In a separate clip, Zinedine Zidane can be seen giving out hugs to his triumphant men. The Frenchman shared a warm embrace with captain Sergio Ramos, Marcelo, and goalscorer Casemiro.

Real Madrid is one of only two teams to have confirmed their spot in the quarter-final – the other is Liverpool. The Merengues will find out their last-eight opponent next Friday when the round of 16 has been completed.
