Did Mahrez really announce his retirement?

FAKE NEWS? Mahrez 'announces' retirement on Facebook

March 6, 2018 By Oscar Rojas
A message posted on the player's official Facebook page sparked controversy about the player's future.

Just hours after Tuesday's training session with Leicester City, Algerian footballer Riyad Mahrez allegedly announced his retirement from the game of football due to "medical reasons".

There hasn't been official communication about this issue by neither Mahrez or Leicester City. In fact, all of the player's social media accounts show no activity in the recent hours, which makes us believe that Mahrez's Facebook account was hacked.

Have a look at the post and decide for yourself.

Mahrez was one of Leicester City's best players during their historical 2015-16 run in the Premier League, when they shocked the world by claiming the title. This winter, the player refused to return to the team's training sessions after his transfer to Manchester City fell through.
