On Wednesday, Real Madrid and PSG will lock horns in one of the most anticipated Champions League clashes. These two European giants will show off their attacking muscles in their round of 16 tie, with Santiago Bernabeu hosting the first leg.
Great attacking talent will be exhibited, as Real Madrid’s BBC (Benzema, Bale, Cristiano) will lock horns with Europe newly-feared trident: MCN (Mbappe, Cavani, Neymar). While their respective goalkeepers should be scared, supporters are eager to see who will come out triumphant.

It’s no surprise that the PSG trio has outscored Real Madrid’s trident. Injuries have hindered their chances of playing together regularly this season. In the Champions League, Les Parisiens’ three attackers have combined to score 16 goals, 64% of PSG’s goals in this competition in2017/18.
BBC, on the other hand, has only 12. That, however, is 71% of Los Merengues’ goals in the competition this season. This is not a bad tally given that Bale and Benzema have played in only two and three games each, respectively, but it should be noted that 9 of the 12 goals have come from a single player: Cristiano.
Neymar will be one to watch out for. Not only is he excelling this campaign at Parc des Princes, his experience against Zidane’s side could prove pivotal. During his time at Barcelona, he scored three goals against Real Madrid and lost only twice in seven league meetings.
But if BBC plays – and they should if the three attackers are fit – PSG won’t have an easy task. Only time will tell who’ll emerge triumphant.
