The west London side isn't the only English club interested in the former Barcelona boss.

We have all heard the rumors: Antonio Conte’s time at Chelsea is coming to an end. Even before the results started going against him, there were talks of him being unhappy with the board and ready to quit.

Factor in the recent defeats – the London giant has lost their last two Premier League matches – and it all points to the Italian’s inevitable departure. The club has also reportedly identified his replacement in the form of Luis Enrique.

However, according to Mundo Deportivo, the Blues might face competition from his signature from an English rival. The article claims that the former Barcelona manager is also being watched by Arsenal.

Arsene Wenger remains the manager at the Emirates Stadium, but the north London outfit is preparing for life without the Frenchman. The board has earmarked Enrique as a possible candidate should Le Prof’s reign end in the summer.

The Frenchman has come under scrutiny once more after another disappointing season. Wenger’s side has failed to challenge for the Premier League and looks set to miss out on the Champions League for a second straight season.

This has forced Arsenal to contemplate hijacking Chelsea’s Enrique move. The west London side, however, won’t let this happen without a fight to bring the 47-year-old tactician to Stamford Bridge.

As of now, the two clubs’ biggest worries are their upcoming games. Arsenal travels to Wembley to face Tottenham in the North London Derby while Chelsea hosts West Brom hoping to avoid another embarrassing defeat.
