A report by Marca states that Real Madrid's players which include team captains Sergio Ramos, Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcelo will try to convince president Florentino Pérez that, despite their woeful form at times during this term, Zidane is the right man for the job.
Such claims are backed by these players' recent statements, including words by Sergio Ramos and Dani Carvajal after their Copa del Rey elimination.

The players' decision to support Zidane came after their Copa del Rey loss, when all of them saw Zizou a bit tired and ready to throw in the towel. A good example would be Marcelo's quote about Zidane following their 4-1 win against Valencia last weekend.
"I've never experienced a better connection with one of my managers than the one I have with Zidane," the team's second captain stated.
With that in mind, the team has reportedly deemed the game against PSG as "crucial", and they'll try to show that when they enter their Round of 16 clash facing Les Parisiens. Only time will tell if they will be able to save their coach's neck.
