Match facts

Preview
Thursday’s clash with Valencia is one of many games in a tricky month for the Barcelona. In between their two-legged encounter is the Catalan Derby with Espanyol, with Messi and Co. traveling to Chelsea for their Champions League round of 16 encounter later this month.
And Valverde’s side knows they cannot take this game for granted. Valencia was thrashed 4-1 at home against Real Madrid, but that was one sour result in what has so far been a good season for Blanquinegros. They are third in La Liga and held the Blaugrana to a 1-1 draw in their league meeting earlier this season.
The away side will be without three players due to injury: Jeison Murillo, Gabriel Paulista, Gonçalo Guedes. Similarly, Ousmane Dembélé; Thomas Vermaelen; and André Gomes will be unavailable for the home side.
