The race for Alexis Sanchez got more interesting in the last 24 hours, as reports emerged of a last-gasp attempt from Man United to sign the Chilean. Mourinho apparently wishes to hijack Man City’s move for the attacker with better terms.
United is willing to give the Gunners $47M for their wantaway ace, with the Red Devils bettering the Citizens’ wage package. Furthermore, the Special One has reportedly offered out-of-favor midfield Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the deal.
However, as reported by the Sun on Friday morning, Sanchez has his eye on only one club: Man City. The 29-year-old is eager to reunite with Pep Guardiola having missed out on that opportunity last summer due to Arsenal’s failure to find a replacement before the window shut close.
