Carlos Tévez, who was once the best-paid player in the world, returned to his boyhood club for a third stint. What's really shocking for fans around the world is to learn that he may finally hang his boots once his contract ends with Los Xeneizes.
The 33-year-old footballer admitted that he will re-evaluate his chances of playing professional football once his two-year deal with Boca Juniors comes to an end.
"I want to enjoy these two years with Boca, because they're all I've got left in the tank. I want to enjoy everything, I don't put pressure on me because I know what I have to do on the pitch, but being happy and enjoying myself will make things easier," Tévez stated.
The Argentine ace never got usded to life in China, forcing his return to his home country.
Tévez, who will wear Number 32, revealed his desire to lead Boca Juniors to their seventh Copa Libertadores title.
"Of course I want to win it. Winning the seventh title in that competition would be a dream come true, that's more relevant than figuring out why I left or returned. What matters is today," Tévez added.
While at it, Tévez's hopes of playing one more World Cup seem to be intact, and given the team's problems to score, having a good season could see him earning a spot in Jorge Sampaoli's crew.
"If you do what you have to on the pitch, then you have a chance. It would be awesome for a guy my age to play one more World Cup," the player concluded.
