The war of words between Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho continued today, as the Italian boss replied to Mourinho's quote on Conte's match-fixing scandal back in 2011.
As reported previously, Manchester United's tactician was unhappy with the way Conte criticized his behavior on the sidelines, but the Italian manager was quick to give his answer to The Special One, and it surely wasn't a friendly one or a quote that would put an end to the feud.
Asked if he regretted his use of words after Mourinho's reply last week, Conte took a stand and defended his ground.
"Do I seem like someone who regrets things? I don't think so. I won't forget his statements. It's a problem between him and me, it doesn't concern our clubs," Conte stated.
"I think we both said things, and we'll see what happens in the future. He has used serious words, and I won't forget this," Conte added.
Mourinho and Conte have been trading lines against each other ever since the first meeting between Chelsea and Manchester United last season. Conte revealed that he would cease to attack Mourinho after this incident, but it remains to be seen if the Special One will follow the same path.
Chelsea gets ready to play in the League Cup semis against Arsenal on Wednesday, while Manchester United will lock horns against Stoke City until Monday.
