The Robins knocked out City’s neighbor Man United in the previous round to set up this last-four encounter. The lower-league side will be hoping for a positive result at the Etihad and have been boosted by the fitness of Korey Smith.
Smith, who scored the winning goal against the Red Devils in the previous round, has overcome an injury scare in time for Tuesday’s game. Bailey Wright, Nathan Baker, Joe Bryan and Bobby Reid are all expected to return to the starting eleven.
Guardiola could name a weaker lineup for this tie since their next game is a trip to Anfield in the Premier League. Claudio Bravo, Ilkay Gundogan, and Danilo could thus all get rare starts.
