Furthermore, Salah and Co. made history over the weekend while Benteke put an end to his dreadful goalscoring drought.

Round 18 of the Premier League is almost over. Everton vs Swansea is the only remaining fixture, with all the other games being played over the weekend. The top six took to the field, with all but one winning.

Man City’s clash with Tottenham was the biggest game of week 18, with Guardiola’s rampant side brushing aside Spurs en route to a 4-1 win. Arsenal, Chelsea, and Man United all won by a one-goal margin while Liverpool thrashed Bournemouth 4-0.

City maintains their 11-point lead at the top while Salah continues to occupy the first spot in the topscorers chart. Here are the standout statistics from the recent Matchday.

City equals 64-year record

The last teams to beat each of Man United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Tottenham in a top-flight season before the New Year were Wolves and West Brom back in 1953/54. Man City joined this elite group by beating Spurs 4-1 on Saturday, meaning Guardiola’s side has beaten all of their top six rivals before the end of the calendar year.

Rampant Liverpool sets EPL record

Liverpool boasts one of the league’s best attacks – unfortunately, the same praise can’t be given to their defense – and thus it came as a little surprise to see them score four goals past Bournemouth without a reply. That big victory saw them become the first Premier League side to win four consecutive away games by a margin of three goals or more.

Benteke ends goalscoring draught

Remember Christian Benteke, the once-promising striker who flopped at Liverpool and is now with Crystal Palace? The Belgian forward had gone through an awful goal drought, failing to find the back of the net in 1106 minutes (28 shots). He ended the dreadful run with a goal in the 3-0 win over Leicester.

And in that same game, Leicester’s Wilfred Ndidi got an awful birthday present

Several exciting games are on their way in the upcoming round. The action begins with Arsenal vs Liverpool on Friday, which then continues on into the weekend. Check out the standout fixtures below.
