Cristiano Ronaldo and co. have received a visit from NFL player Chad Ochocinco. Ochocinco is a good friend of Ronaldo; a bit of inspiration ahead of Real Madrid vs Villarreal for Los Blancos?
Real Madrid’s official club website have reported that the Cincinatti Bengals athlete paid a visit to the Spanish giants at Valdebebas on Friday as the squad is preparing to face Villarreal in La Liga. Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho took his time to introduce Chad Ochocinco to the entire team.

Cristiano Ronaldo was one of the first persons to welcome the NFL star. Before training started, Xabi Alonso, Kaka, Raul Albiol and Pepe were also all present in the VIP Room alongside Mou to greet Ochocinco. The visitor apparently had a good time with Real Madrid’s outspoken Portuguese coach joking that he should join in Los Blancos’ training session.

From the VIP Room and after visiting the dressing room, Cristiano Ronaldo’s buddy Chad Ochocinco was taken to the pitch. The whole of Real Madrid’s squad was there and the NFL star had a photo shoot with the players. He also left a comment as the club’s official website quoted him as saying:

“I follow Real Madrid, so it’s incredible to be here and to meet the players. I greatly admire Cristiano Ronaldo.”

He continued with a bit of humour:

“He is very fast, but not as fast as I am. I’d love to race him!”

Last season, Cristiano Ronaldo was of great inspiration to Real Madrid against Villarreal. At El Madrigal, the star winger scored from an amazing solo effort. In the corresponding Real Madrid vs Villarreal fixture, he also netted an outstanding free-kick which he dedicated to the then-ravaged Madeira Island – his home country – as Los Blancos humiliated Villarreal 6-2.

On Sunday evening, Real Madrid will resume their hunt for La Liga title. They currently trail behind Barcelona with 2 points going into match-day 18. They’ll hope to celebrate Chad Ochocinco’s visit with a good result against Villarreal. It might not be easy, though. The Yellow Submarines are just one place below Real Madrid in 3rd position in La Liga’s standings.
