Following their shock 2-1 loss to newly promoted Strasbourg, PSG now have seen their unbeaten run in Ligue 1 come to an abrupt end. To date, that means that no side have been able to complete a 38-game season in French football's top flight sans a loss. In addition, Les Parisiens also were beaten by Bayern Munich in their final group stage Champions League tie as die Roten got revenge from their humiliation earlier this season. That denied Unai Emery's men the chance to join just six teams to complete a group stage campaign with a perfect winning record, and there are already reports that the ex-Sevilla boss is under pressure following two back-to-back defeats.
It's shocking as PSG are very much in cruise control in Ligue 1 and had already booked their spot in the round of 16 prior to the Bayern loss, but nonetheless, Emery will want a response from his side - despite the fact that Neymar will miss this game due to a ban.

Leonardo Jardim had clearly written off the team's European ambitions by fielding a heavily rotated side against Porto during the team's final group stage Champions League tie. Monaco, who were expected to qualify from a pretty comfortable group that featured the likes of debuatants RB Leipzig, Turkish champs Besiktas and the aforementioned Porto, were shockingly disappointing as they went out without winning a single match to finish bottom of their quartet.
Les Rouges-et-Blancs also are struggling to keep pace with PSG in the race for the Ligue 1 title, and find themselves nine points behind. However, with Les Parisiens finally suffering their first loss of the season, and with plenty of matches between now and May, it's clear that Jardim will focus his efforts on getting his team back on track domestically and closing the gap on current leaders PSG, while also trying to avoid getting entangled in a three-way race for second spot with both Marseille and Lyon, who are presently tied with them on 32 points.
