The French star picked up his Uruguayan team-mates with a pleasant surprise, as both men returned from helping La Celeste seal their spot in the World Cup.

Team efforts are always praised by fans, and these kind of gestures strengthen the relationship between team-mates.

Following the International Break, Antoine Griezmann decided to pick up two of his Atlético Madrid team-mates at the airport: Diego Godín and José María Giménez. In what turned out to be quite a gesture, Griezmann welcomed back his team-mates while wearing Uruguay's jersey with Godín's number printed on it.

The gesture made social media thanks to the Uruguayan defender, who didn't hesitate to show the good relationship between himself, Griezmann and Giménez and posted a pic of the event on his Instagram account.

"Tremendous reception in Madrid!"

Both Uruguay and France sealed their spots in the 2018 World Cup on Tuesday, as La Celeste beat Bolivia 4-2 to clinch CONMEBOL's second place in the Qualifiers. On the other hand, France claimed the top spot in Group A of UEFA's WCQ, gaining access to their sixth World Cup edition in a row.

All of Atlético's players included in the picture are expected to play against Barcelona this weekend, in what will be Los Blaugranas' first visit to Atletico's new stadium.
