Rematch of the 2016 Europa League final as Liverpool take on Sevilla

Liverpool are coming into this game having suffered a shocking 5-0 humiliation at the hands of Manchester City over the weekend. That marks the Reds' worst ever defeat since a 6-1 loss to Stoke City FC on the last day of 2014/15, and  ended a nine-match unbeaten run in all competitions (W7 D2), dating back to a 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace on April 23rd. Whilst Saido Mane was sent off early on after a nasty tackle on Ederson, the Senagelese star will be available for this game.

However, Mohamed Salah, who has started off quite well since making a summer move from Roma, is in doubt for this fixture due to illness. Philippe Coutinho is another who could feature as he didn't feature for the team during the loss to Manchester City, whilst Adam Lallana, Adam Bogdan and Danny Ings all remain on the treatment table for the hosts.

As for Sevilla, Eduardo Berizzo's side currently sit in a very solid third spot in LaLiga, thanks to two wins and a draw. Still, the visitors have a bad record in England, and have failed to win in their past five attempts, with two draws and three losses. Furthermore, Liverpool are unbeaten in their last ten European home games and haven't lost at Anfield in nearly three years. Will Jurgen Klopp get the response he needs from his side - and also get some revenge on Sevilla for denying them the chance to win the Europa League back in 2016?
