The Monaco ace moves closer towards an exit, as he looks set to join Neymar at Parc des Princes.

The Kylian Mbappe transfer saga is almost officially over. After months of speculation, PSG have won the race for the teenager and have successful conducted his medical.

This is according the TF1, with the player allegedly undergoing his medical at Clairefontaine, France’s training base, as the teenager is currently on international duty.

The 18-year-old has been linked with Les Parisiens for weeks. On Monday, a picture of Stefan Jovetic in a number 10 Monaco jersey - Mbappe's number - emerged, hinting that the Frenchman's exit was inevitable.

Mbappe, currently with Les Bleus for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers vs Netherlands and Luxembourg, is not officially a PSG player. However, soon-to-be team-mate Adrien Rabiot all but confirmed the teenager's Parc des Princes arrival.

"He (Mbappe) explained that his arrival at PSG should be formalised on Tuesday," the midfielder told Le Parisien. "This is very good news for the club of course."

French manager Didier Deschamps also confirmed Mbappe's move. Speaking in a press conference on Monday ahead of their two qualifiers, he said: "Mbappé is changing, but he's staying in Ligue 1. Only the future will say if he's made a good decision or not."

Kylian will partner Cavani and Neymar in an exciting attacking trio. Although the Frenchman will not reach the Brazilian's transfer record, the teenager will also come at a hefty price.

According to reports, he is set to cost the Paris giants £166m. He will initially be signed on loan before the Ligue 1 side transfer the mega fee into Monaco's account next season, a technique to avoid breaching FFP rules.
