The 2016/17 Champions League and Europa League seasons were exciting campaigns. Shocking results, amazing comebacks, stellar performances, and unforgettable goals were present for fans to enjoy.
Several memorable goals were scored last season, but only one had to be chosen for the UEFA Goal of the Season. And on Tuesday, European football's governing body announced the lucky winner.
That man was Mario Mandzukic. The Croatian forward netted an amazing bicycle-kick goal in the final against Real Madrid to shock not only Keylor Navas, but the entire Blancos supporters in the stadium.

Juventus were not able to win that day, however, losing 4-1 to Cristiano and Co. Nonetheless, the Bianconeri forward can take pride in scoring the best goal of the 2016/17 Champions League term.
The former Bayern Munich forward faced stiff competition, but emerged triumphant with 26% of the votes. Seven players were nominated, including Mandzukic, with fans voting in a poll for their winner.
The nominees came from all UEFA competitions. As a result, Moussa Sow was nominated for his amazing bicycle-kick goal vs Man United in the Europa League. The Fenerbahce ace, however, narrowly missed out, winning 25% of the votes.
Casemiro thunderous goal vs Napoli in the Champions League and Marco Asensio's excellent volley vs Macedonia in Euro U-21 were also nominated, but only won 20 and 11 percent of the votes respectively.
