The Catalan boss shared one of his dreams involving the Argentine while keeping options open for the final days of the transfer window.

Pep Guardiola's press conference ahead of the clash against Bournemouth took an interesting turn, as the coach decided to clarify a few things about his team's future in the current transfer window.

After rumors sparked last week about Manchester City being interested in triggering Lionel Messi's buyout clause, the manager stepped up and denied such claims by sharing a dream of his own. While at it, Pep kept a shadow of a doubt surrounding Kylian Mbappe's future at Monaco.

"Mbappé and Messi are currently at Monaco and Barcelona. My dream is that one of them continues and ends his career with Barcelona, and the other one is one of the most talented youngsters in Europe," Guardiola stated.

Following this statement, Guardiola turned his sights on Alexis Sánchez. Contrary to what you might expect, the Catalan boss did admit Manchester City will try to lure him away from Emirates Stadium, but time could be a crucial factor to complete that signing.

"Alexis is still with Arsenal, but the transfer window is still open for 5 or six days. We'll see how things evolve, I'm sure his future will be decided at the very end of it," Guardiola concluded.
