The French footballer will arrive to Catalunya on Sunday. He will be unveiled at Camp Nou on Monday after completing a medical examination.

It wasn't easy, but Barcelona finally landed the player they were looking for.

Los Blaugranas confirmed the signing of Ousmane Dembelé after tough negotiations with Borussia Dortmund. Things between both clubs got so tense that the deal was about to be dismissed by the German club, who agreed to sell their rising star for a reported €105M fee, plus €45M in add-ons. This is the most expensive transfer ever for Barcelona, surpassing the amount paid by Neymar.

"At 20 years of age he has played a total of seven games with the French national side alongside Barça players Samuel Umtiti and Lucas Digne. Last season Dembélé scored 10 goals in 49 matches aside from being third on list of players with most assists in Europe with 20 in all competitions. Without doubt he is hugely talented player, one of the best on the continent," states a press release issued on Barcelona's website .

This is how the club welcomed their new signing via Twitter.

The player wasted no time to pledge his allegiance to a new club, the third in his professional career.

The player will join Barcelona on a five-year deal, with his release clause standing at €400M.
