After winning the English Premier League in excellent fashion last season, Antonio Conte’s has become a popular figure among the Chelsea supporters. Unfortunately, the end of his Stamford Bridge reign is tipped to be near.
The topic of his Chelsea future was discussed on BBC 5 live Sport, with Rory Smith of New York Times claiming that the club understand that this will be the Italian manager’s last season at the club.
Many reasons were given: firstly, Conte has always seen this job as a short-term employment for three to five seasons at the most. Additionally, a recent contract signed with the Blues which only increased his wages but not the duration of his employment raised red flags.
