Juve's Massimiliano Allegri takes on a very familiar foe in Roma's Eusebio Di Francesco

Massimiliano Allegri will be quite familiar with Eusebio Di Francesco due to their Sassuolo connection. Allegri is the one who helped Sassuolo earn a historic promotion to Serie B whilst Di Francesco guided them into Serie A, and it was Di Francesco who was at the helm of the Neroverdi when Domenico Berardi scored a poker against Milan in January 2014 that effectively spelled the end of Allegri's reign at the helm of the Rossoneri.

Di Francesco has now taken over Roma, where he spent some time as a midfielder to replace the departing Luciano Spalletti and will have quite a lot of work to do to appease the team's worried fans due to the club's moves in the transfer market. Roma have sold off a trio of key players, including Antonio Rudiger and Mohamed Salah, but the Lupi have done pretty well thus far in pre-season.

Whilst they were unable to get the better of PSG, they did very well against Tottenham, holding on to defeat Spurs in an entertaining five goal match that saw new signing and Roma youth product Cengiz Under and Marco Tumminello each grab themselves a goal.

Meanwhile, Juventus were unable to prevent Barcelona from getting some revenge for their 3-0 Champions League defeat, but the Bianconeri were able to ensure that Dani Alves wasn't able to celebrate a win with his new side in an interesting clash between Les Parisiens and La Vecchia Signora.

PSG attempted to get themselves back into the game twice, but Allegri's side hung on to earn a 3-2 win - albeit via a controversial penalty call - and will look to wrap up an overall solid USA tour with a win against a very familiar foe before taking on Tottenham next month.

New signing Wojciech Szczęsny has an ankle problem, so was not able to feature, whilst Douglas Costa and Federico Bernardeschi did not feature in that game, but both the Brazilian and the Italian internationals could make an appearance against Roma on Sunday.
