German defender Mats Hummels referred to his 'twin' Oswaldo Alanis as the main reason why Germany beat Mexico in the Confederations Cup semis.

If Mexican fans needed more reasons to be mad about their lackluster performance against Die Mannschaft, German defender Mats Hummels gave them one more.

The German defender, well-known for being a fan of social media, posted a comment via Twitter where he "mocked" Mexican defender Oswaldo Alanís, who didn't have his best performance during the first ten minutes of the game. While Germany scored twice in the first ten minutes, Hummels referred to his physical resemblance to Alanis and labeled himself as an "infiltrator" to help the Germans beat Mexico 4-1.

Mexican defender Oswaldo Alanís and Hummels have developed a friendship via social media ever since a user confused them for their striking resemblance.

Although his joke may not go down well among Mexican fans, Hummels' relationship with his "twin" will surely be one of mutual respect.
