  • Plenty of club teammates will be squaring off: Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez vs. Shkodran Mustaf; Bayern's Arturo Vidal vs. Joshua Kimmich and new die Roten signings Sebastian Rudy and Niklas Sule

Group B top spot up for grabs as Germany take on Chile

Germany

Germany come into this game having beaten Australia, but it was far from a comfortable result for Joachim Low's side. Still, the last time die Mannschaft faced the Socceroos in this competition, it ended up being a high-scoring, closely contested affair that Germany managed to win 4-3. Furthermore, Low has opted to go with a younger squad as he looks ahead to finalize his team for the 2018 World Cup, so Germany are largely really just using this tournament as a trial run for the big event next year.

Still, Low may opt to make some changes. Bernd Leno could make way for Marc-Andre ter Stegen after conceding two goals, especially as die Mannschaft will hope to book their spot in the next round by picking up maximum points against the Copa America champions.

Chile

Meanwhile, Chile left it late, but La Roja managed to see off AFCON champions Cameroon thanks to goals from Arturo Vidal and Edoardo Vargas. With top spot in this quartet up for grabs, they obviously will want to finally overcome their German hoodoo, and they will be hoping to have skipper and star shot-stopper Claudio Bravo back for this game - albeit it's not likely due to his calf injury. Bravo had a rough debut season with Manchester City, but nonetheless is still the first choice man in between the sticks when fit and that could see Johnny Herrera relegated to the bench - provided of course, that he makes a miraculous recovery.

The winner of this game will book their spot in the semi-finals. Will it be Chile or Germany? Tune in to find out!
