The German wingman came down with yet another injury, complicating his move away from Borussia Dortmund this summer.

Once again, an untimely injury will prevent Marco Reus from leaving Borussia Dortmund. The German wingman, who was being closely pursued by Liverpool, will most likely have to undergo surgery, as a press release by Borussia Dortmund revealed the star has picked up a knee injury.

The club revealed this news to the world on their website.

"Germany international Marco Reus will be out of action for several months after sustaining a partial tear of the cruciate ligament in his right knee in Saturday evening's DFB Cup final against Eintracht Frankfurt," the press release stated.

"Further examinations will be conducted over the next few days to determine what course of treatment is required. With this in mind, Borussia Dortmund will not at this stage make any precise estimations as to the possible length of the player's absence," the statement adds.

The 27-year old was one of Liverpool's primary targets for the upcoming summer transfer window. Reus' contract expires in 2019, and the player seemed willing to move away from Signal Iduna Park before coming down with this injury.
