Football's world governing body have asked for information surrounding the player's return to Old Trafford.

Paul Pogba’s world-record Manchester United move has attracted FIFA’s interest, with football’s world governing body requesting info on the player’s summer transfer as they look into the details behind his return to England.

The Frenchman headed back to Old Trafford in a sensational £89million transfer four years after leaving the Theatre of Dreams for Juventus. Flags have been raised, however, by claims of a commission received by the player’s agent, Mino Raiola.

According to The Football Leaks: The Dirty Business of Football, a book published in Germany this week, Raiola pocketed £41.39m from the midfielder’s move. A Red Devils spokesperson said that FIFA have been given information about the deal, but revealed nothing else.

“We don’t comment on contracts, FIFA have had the documents since the transfer in August," the Man United official said.

Although FIFA stressed that no official investigation has been opened, reports in France claim the organization have been looking into the record deal since September 16.

The Italian agent has reportedly already received £22.8m of his commission, with another £16.39m expected to arrive from the 20-time Premier League winners across five installments. Pogba is also expected to hand Raiola £2.2m.

FIFA are also reportedly looking into third party ownership, something banned in England. Although his agent denied those rumors, he admitted that Juventus were not the only owner of the player’s image rights.
