This round of English Premier League games will be spread across four days with the Blues visiting West Bromwich Albion to get proceedings underway. Traveling fans may want to put their party hat on. With a seven-point lead over second-placed Tottenham Hotspur and only nine more points left to win, the West Brom vs Chelsea fixture could indeed fulfil Antonio Conte’s mission of landing the EPL title.
It’s happening this Friday on NBCSN with coverage beginning at 3:00 PM ET. If you want to instead watch Everton vs Watford, tune in 15 minutes earlier on NBC Universo.
On Saturday, NBCSN will carry three Premier League broadcasts starting with Manchester City vs Leicester City at 7:30 AM ET and ending with Stoke City vs Arsenal from 12:30 PM ET. In between, the channel will transmit one of the 10 AM ET kick-offs as Sunderland hosts Swansea City. The latter aren’t safe from relegation. They have their noses just above water with 35 points in 17th place while Hull City are in trouble falling just behind with 34 points.
The other two 10 AM ET kick-offs, Middlesbrough vs Southampton and Bournemouth vs Burnley, will be available on NBC Universo.
As aforementioned, the Tigers of Hull have a serious mountain to overcome. Victory away from home on Sunday is a must. However, the odds are heavily against them. Indeed, the 113-year club has recorded a solitary win away while suffering as many as 14 defeats. Interestingly, Crystal Palace’s home record isn’t one to be intimidated by as they’ve collected only 17 points there, out of a possible 54 with a low win rate of 27.7 per cent.
Watch Crystal Palace (38) vs Hull City (34) in Sunday’s first relegation battle from 7 AM ET on CNBC. Pursue this with the broadcast of West Ham vs Liverpool from 9:15 AM ET on the same channel as Jurgen Klopp plans to finish the 2016/17 English Premier League campaign on 76 points and possibly earn direct qualification into the UEFA Champions League group stages. That would only be possible if fourth-placed Manchester City (69) choke in one of their last three fixtures.
Speaking of the Top 4 battle, Manchester United are in a difficult position to make it as their fate relies in the hands of the Citizens who possess a four-point advantage over their local rivals. However, as seen many times in the history of Premier League football, the battle is never over until it is truly over.
On that note, Jose Mourinho may want to throw in his best cards as he takes his team to White Hart Lane where the hosts have nothing to win and nothing to lose anymore. Literally, this is the case. They’ve booked their tickets for next year’s Champions League competition. At the same time, the EPL title is virtually out of their reach.
