From Treble aspirants to having to settle. Bayern Munich have seen their season go up in flames over the past few weeks. At the start of this month, die Roten were very much involved in three competitions. Flash-forward less than a month later, and Carlo Ancelotti's side will have to right the wobbly ship in order to finish out the Bundesliga title race on a decent note. Meanwhile, Dortmund are flying high after getting some revenge on the Bavarians for their earlier Klassiker loss, and now hope to secure a top three spot as they take on Köln.

Bundesliga - Matchday 31 overview

April has not been a kind month to Bayern Munich. Die Roten have not won a game since crushing Borussia Dortmund 4-1 in Der Klassiker on April 8th. Since then, they have lost three and drawn two of their past five fixtures across all competitions. Although Carlo Ancelotti's side are still on top of the Bundesliga table, all in all, fans surely will be very disappointed with the outcome of Bayern's season. After all, given their standing in Germany, they are expected to win the league title each campaign, so making sure the Bundesliga trophy remains in Munich is a given.

Bayern come into their tie against Wolfsburg having lost in the DFB-Pokal. It was yet another major blow for Ancelotti, who at the very least was hoping to win a domestic double in his debut term at the Allianz Arena. On the opposite side of the pitch, die Schwarzgelben got some much-needed revenge after their 4-1 humiliation in the Klassiker at the same ground, and now Thomas Tuchel's side can have hope at winning one trophy this season. Dortmund take on Köln on Saturday, and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, who is presently ahead of Robert Lewandowski in the race for the Torjägerkanone, will hope to add more to his total.

Meanwhile, debutants RB Leipzig face relegation candidates Inglostadt. Die Bullen are definitely set to feature in the Champions League, which is an impressive feat for a team only founded back in 2009. And matchday 31 will kick off with a clash between Bayer Leverkusen and Schalke on Friday. Only two points separate the two, who are both hoping to break into the top half of the table before the season ends.
