Match forecast

Paraguay sit at the seventh spot in the latest standings, and that means they are at risk of not qualifying for the World Cup. But with only three points away from a qualifying spot, they can force  win against the hosts although this sounds almost impossible. The best result they could here is a draw and that also won't come easy.

These two sides have played each other 13 times since 1997 and have an equal record in all aspects - wins, draws and defeats. Actually their last four games have ended in draws most recently in their WC qualifier in Paraguay earlier last year when the final score was 2-2.

Out of the 13 games, Brazil has won five, drawn three and lost five, same record with Paraguay. Interestingly, three of the last four games in this fixture have been been played in Brazil and ended in draws.

But now, Los Guaranies face a Brazilian side that has been breathing fire lately under the new boss. They beat Uruguay 4-1 last time out thanks to a goal from Neymar and a first-ever career hat-trick from Paulinho.

Speaking of Neymar, the Barcelona star has been influential and instrumental at the same time to the boys in yellow. He is only 25 years old and has already played 76 games for his country, scored 51 goals and provided 30 assists.

The former Santos man has a huge following in Brazil and has been tipped to take over from Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in the future when the two legends retire from football. At such a tender age, Neymar is showing all signs of a future all-time great and all eyes will be on him when the South American nation welcomes Paraguay.
