Reinaldo and Luiz Antonio scored the historic goals for the club that captivated the world after their tragic crash back in November.

99 days after tragedy struck Brazilian team Chapecoense, the South American side found the strength to make a historical Copa Libertadores debut. The green and white side travelled to Venezuela, where they played against Zulia, another club making its debut in the competition. 

Left back Reinaldo scored the historic first goal for Chapecoense in the competition via a free kick. Later in the game, Luiz Antonio scored the second goal for the Brazilians, who paid tribute to their fallen team-mates by kneeling on the pitch and pointing to the sky.
