Gooners would love this remark made by the German boss ahead of Dortmund vs. Benfica.

Speaking ahead of Borussia Dortmund’s Champions League tie, Thomas Tuchel took an unexpected jibe at Premier League leaders Chelsea. This comes as rumors linking him to Arsenal intensify.

The German boss, a rumored candidate to replace Arsene Wenger should he call an end to his Emirates Stadium tenure this summer, spoke to press prior to Dortmund’s home clash with Benfica. The 43-year-old’s standout comment was a criticism of the Blues – alongside Juventus and Atletico Madrid.

Tuchel spoke against those clubs’ defensive-minded tactics, insisting he favors going forward above all. That is something his Bundesliga side must do, as they trail 1-0 on aggregate.

Chelsea have tremendously improved since Antonio Conte’s arrival. A bumpy start was soon followed by unstoppable football, leading to their current 10-point lead. However, their history for parking the bus still haunts them.

He said (as per the Daily Mirror): "If I were the coach of Chelsea, Juve or Atletico, maybe I would come up with a different answer.

"But when the floodlights go on tomorrow night in Dortmund and all the people will support us, then it is about attacking."

Tuchel’s remarks won’t help quiet talks linking him with an Arsenal move. His future in the Bundesliga is under question, as an offer from London might tempt the BVB boss into leaving the Signal Iduna Park.

Allegri is tipped as the favorite to replace Le Prof. However, Tuchel’s love for young, promising players and an attacking-dominated style of play will do his odds wonders.
