The Sky Blues can't afford to drop points in such a tight EPL race for the top four spots, especially when their clash against Sunderland won't be easy.

Team news

David Moyes will have to make do without five players as Lee Cattermole, Paddy McNair, Victor Anichebe & Duncan Watmore are out due to injury. Jason Denayer won't be around as he isn't eligible to play against his parent club. Jack Rodwell, Steven Pienaar and Vito Mannone could make it back in time to play, but they could still be left out of the 18-men squad for Sunday.

On the other side of the pitch, Pep Guardiola will have Aleksandr Kolarov available once again, with the team's only absences being Gabriel Jesus and Ilkay Gundogan, both recovering from recent surgeries.

This week's talking points for the Citizens had to do with Pep's selections for his starting XI, which have generated doubts about the future of some players such as Sergio Aguero. Even if he tried to hide it, Guardiola wasn't happy to answer those doubts during his latest press conference.
