Barcelona and Real Madrid could play each other outside Spain for the first time since 1982.

The fiercest rivalry in the history of Spanish football - Barcelona vs Real Madrid - is set to cross boarders into the United States. Marca reports that the organizers of the International Champions Cup have decided that the two rivals will play each other in Miami in the United States on July 29 as part of their pre-season tour. Barcelona are also expected to play Serie A giants Juventus on July 22 and their Premier League counterparts Manchester United. Both teams will be using this tournament to gauge the strength of their squads after the summer transfer window ahead of the 2017/18 season. If the Barca vs Real Madrid game goes on as planned, it will be the first Clasico to be played outside Spain since 1982 when Real Madrid beat Barcelona by a solitary goal from Vincente Del Bosque in the Venezuela Cup.
