The Chilean ace was able to end his hoodoo in front of goal after more than two games without sending the ball to the back of the net.

Tigres' fans have to be excited about the partnership between André-Pierre Gignac and Edu Vargas, especially after last night's display.

The recently signed Chilean striker scored Tigres' lonely goal against Pumas in the first leg of their CONCACAF Champions League Quarter final matchup. Unfortunately for the South American ace, his goal wasn't enough to give his new team the win, as Matias Britos scored the equalizer minutes later.

Vargas is Tigres' bet for a top-caliber attack, searching for back-to-back Liga MX titles and the CONCACAF Champions League trophy, which they weren't able to win last year.
