MLS side Orlando City are set to launch their new stadium in style - and the fans are already armed with their tickets in hand.

The Lions open their 2017 league campaign against New York City FC on March 5 at the new Orlando City Stadium. This will be the first match to be played at the venue following its completion. The $115 million facility has a capacity of 25,500 and will be the home of the MLS outfit henceforth.

Construction began in 2014 and throughout that period, the Lions used the Camping World Stadium as their home ground. The Florida-based club is well-known for its huge fan base that comes only second to Seattle Sounders in the MLS. Last season, they had an average attendance of 31,324 per match.

The club has grown in terms of fanbase in the recent years especially after the signing of Brazilian legend Kaka. In 2015 when they officially joined the MLS, they had a record attendance of 62,510 in their inaugural match. The club has also sold out single-match tickets for the home game against LA Galaxy on April 15.
