Four Manchester United players will miss the Europa League clash against Saint-Etienne on Thursday, Jose Mourinho has confirmed. The Portuguese tactician was speaking during a pre-match press conference on Wednesday.
The four players include Luke Shaw, Wayne Rooney, Michael Carrick and Phil Jones. The absence of Luke Shaw, despite being fit for the clash, has further fueled the rumours that the English defender could be on his way out of Old Trafford in the summer. The former Southampton man suffered a horrific injury in the Champions League against PSV in 2015 and has been struggling to feature in the first team since his return.

Here's some reactions from the football world
Going to be interesting to see what happens with Luke Shaw in the next few months. Talent is obviously there, just something not clicking.

Jose Mourinho: "Luke shaw is not playing tomorrow. My team is playing well, and I'm happy with my back four". #MUFC

United fans are weird. They expected sympathy shown towards Luke Shaw with his injury, yet are mocking Gabriel Jesus now????
