The Bundesliga giants will host the north London outfit on Wednesday in the first-leg of their round of 16 clash.

With the PSG vs. Barcelona game done and dusted, fans eagerly await the next exciting game in the Champions League: Bayern Munich vs. Arsenal. The German giants will host the Gunners, as Wenger’s boys look to upset die Roten – the favorites.

Carlo Ancelotti will be without Franck Ribery and Jerome Boateng for Wednesday’s games, and the Frenchman and German failed to recover from injury in time. Arsenal look set to be handed another huge boost, as reports claim Bayern Munich will bench one of their star names.

According to Kicker, that man will be World Cup winner Thomas Muller. The German has struggled with form, failing to reach heights of seasons past, as he has only four goals under his belt in all competitions.

Ancelotti recently tested out a new 4-42 formation. However, that tactical change failed to reap much benefit, as they needed two late goals – from Vidal and Robben – to secure all three points.

Kicker are confident that the Italian boss will revert to the more familiar 4-3-3 formation. Lewandowski will rightly retain his spot as the lone striker, but he will be flanked by Douglas Costa and Arjen Robben.
