Los Blaugranas will also have to deal with Sergi Roberto's absence, who was also sent off during the second leg of their semi-final clash against Atlético.

Barcelona will not have their top striker available to play the Copa del Rey final, as Luis Suárez has been slapped with a two-match ban by La Liga's governing body.

The Uruguayan striker was sent off during the second leg of the semi-final clash against Atlético, and even though Los Blaugranas appealed to have his red card erased, the player was handed one more match than originally expected.

Aside from the automatic one-match ban due to his red card, Suárez was handed an extra game after breaching La Liga's Code of Conduct by "refusing to leave the pitch and watching the rest of the game from the access tunnel," according to the league's book of rules.

Suárez was sent off for the first time as a Barcelona player after hitting Koke with his elbow as time expired.

Added to Suárez's absence, coach Luis Enrique won't have Sergi Roberto available. The home grown right back was also sent off during the clash against Atlético. Regarding the away team, Yannick Ferreira and Stevan Savic will also have to serve one-match bans, but that will happen until the 2017-2018 edition of the tournament.
