The champions of Africa are back home following their dramatic 2-1 win over Egypt on Sunday in Gabon.
AFCON 2017 champions Cameroon were received by hundreds of jovial fans in Yaounde on Monday. The Indomitable Lions were crowned champions after coming from one goal down to beat the Pharaohs of Egypt 2-1 in the finals.
Upon landing on home soil, the team's captain Benjamin Moukandjo displayed the trophy to the jubilant fans gathered at the Yaounde Nsimalen International Airport.This was the country's fifth AFCON title. And as a result, they will now enjoy the status of being the defending champions and the hosts of the 2019 edition of the competition.
