The Chicharito-to-MLS transfer rumours have been fueled by a recent report.

Javier Hernandez could be headed to the Major League Soccer in the summer, according to a new report released by FourFourTwo USA. The report cites conversations with general managers of the league who allegedely claim that the Mexican forward is a top transfer target of a number of clubs in the league.

Although there is no specific club that has been pinned down to the transfer of the Bayer Leverkusen forward, the report claims that new MLS outfit LAFC, who are set to feature in the 2018 season, are favorites to sign him. This, however, does not rule out the possibility of the 28-year-old joining any other club in the stateside league.

Chicharito is currently the biggest star in the CONCACAF region and his switch to the MLS could light up the league and attract more followers. Since joining Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2015, he has been in red-hot form for the Bundesliga club. The fan-favorite has made 65 appearances in all competitions for the German club and scored 34 goals.
